DisArt Festival Service Design - 2015

The DisArt Festival was an inaugural 15-day, multi-faceted arts and culture event held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Centered around the theme of "changing perceptions about disability, one work of art at a time," it featured international gallery exhibitions (such as Art of the Lived Experiment), film festivals, fashion shows, and dance performances.
This project aimed to evaluate the 2015 inaugural DisArt Festival and to strategize a way to optimize the overall user experience of the festival moving forward.
The Service Design was done as part of a collaboration between the DisArt Festival and the Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) Collaborative Design Program. While project strategy and research were developed collaboratively, I handled all visual design work displayed here.

Much of research done was via in-depth analysis of the festival itself and stakeholder interviews, which went on to strongly inform the personas used throughout the rest of the project. The stakeholders included the DisArt board members, attendees of all walks of life, artists showing their work and more.
